Saeida 4 (40 Hours) written by Dr. Walid O. Khalil tells the story of Saeida, a young Bedouin woman seeking love and happiness in her dreamy perspective.She lives in a desert called Hotun in a small village called Al Rahma. Hager, her aunt becomes her life when her parents had divorced. She refused to get married in order to live for her and bring her up. She suffered because of her hard life, tough living, and struggle against the nature of the desert.However, such condition gave her enough strength and toughness to face all of life’s challenges.
Dr. Walid Khalil derived from the life of the Bedouins, where the writer lived with his grandfather for a period. He learned these stories from his grandfather to bring them in this book. The hero in this novel is a Bedouin seeking love and happiness in her dreamy perspective. The snuggest of these Bedouin a philosophy comes out of their experience, mental and wisdom together. The writer did not need to leave the desert horizons perceptions, highly distance, but he was the son of the desert who knows its secrets and how to move from plain, mountain, valley, oasis and the deep roots.

The term 'Bedu'in the Arabic language refers to one who lives out in the open, in the desert. The Arabic word 'Badawiyin'is a generic name for a desert-dweller and the English word ‘Bedouin’ is the derived from this.

She accepted unwillingly to depart,but she was sure that her love for Dahi would not decrease, whatever the effect of the valley maybe.Abdul Rahman,the man responsible for the valley came to accompany her. He was an old man with a very big red beard; he had a blue book that he read from time to time and a very long stake that came to his head. He looked at her and told her frankly about what she would face during that journey. He told her that the Al-Saada valley is considered the most difficult and toughest one in the world, but it is the most beautiful. But before their journey, Hager gave Saeida 40 imprinted and closed messages out of a box. She told her to read them after every hour and to understand their meanings and symbols. What will Saeida learn from her journey? What are the things that she will discover for herself, her aunt, her companion and her love upon reaching Al-Saada valley?
